DAD’S
CLOTHES DO DOUBLE DUTY
AS HE MANAGES KIDS’ SCHEDULES
Manny Katinas, a marketing executive for a software company, has
a lot on his plate these days – but you won’t hear
him talk about business meetings, corporate mergers and executive
lunches. These days, it’s all about swim team workouts,
basketball practice and play dates. While Manny works in a business
casual environment, his clothes have to play double duty most
days.
“Having kids keeps you busy and eats at your budget,”
Manny said. “There is not a lot of extra time or extra
money for things like dry cleaning. So, when it comes to clothes,
I want to get by with the simplicity of wash and wear.”
The Nano-Tex enhanced stain-resistant clothes from Gap and Eddie
Bauer fit the bill for Manny, and have helped him change his
perception about stain-resistant clothing.
“When I first heard about it, I imagined it was like
an armor – thick and heavy,” remembered Manny. “I
didn’t think they could make cotton that way – and
in name brands I would want to wear. But, in fact, the pants
I have from Gap look much better than plain cotton khakis. The
new clothes are not the outdated image of wash and wear –
they are real stylish clothes from good brands, and what I really
like is that I can skip the dry cleaning - that is one more
detail I don’t need right now. Wash, dry and ready-to-go
clothes – for me, it’s the way to go!”
