NO LAUNDRY HEADACHES FOR MOM
OF TWO MESSY BOYS

The birthday party was the big test. Mountains of drippy ice cream, moist cake, sticky icing, and sweet, sugary drinks in a rainbow of colors – all of it guaranteed to come to its final resting place on the shirt or lap of every child in attendance. And, all of it causing a headache and more laundry for the moms present. Except Karine Greene.

“I have boys – and boys are messy,” said Karine, who is also pregnant with her third child. Every week there are stains – dirt, food, spills, and playground grime.” Her two little ones, Tyler, age 5 and Daniel, age 3, are both active little boys who keep her busy.

“Usually, [when going to a birthday party] I would dress the boys casually, as most of the other kids were dressed, in anticipation of the stains they would get on their clothes. But, instead I decided to put their new stain proof clothes from Old Navy to the test. So, here enter my boys, dressed to the nines and all the moms oohed and ahhed that they looked so cute,” Karine said proudly.

Five minutes after arriving at the party, Tyler spilled an entire shirley temple-like cocktail all over his white shirt and khaki shorts. “It was amazing – the stuff just beaded right off,” she said. Using a napkin, Karine dabbed the remaining juice off Tyler’s shirt, impressing her husband who was seeing the spill-resistant quality in action for the first time.

Karine also has a pair of the Old Navy Super Khaki maternity pants and loves that dust and dirt just brushes right off. “We have an SUV and I’m always rubbing up against the car and getting dirt and dust on my pants. The greatest thing about them is that you can use your hand to brush away the grime. I like the clothes and the stain resistance works.”
