CLOTHES
THAT ADAPT TO THE JOB AND THE ENVIRONMENT
After four months of working and traveling around Asia, Aaron
Uhrmacher and his fiancé Jordana decided to settle down
in New York City. “Just last week, I was sitting at my desk
getting ready to be introduced to a new client,” said Aaron.
“My lunch plate was sitting on the desk and when I moved
some papers it fell off, splattering ketchup and mayo all over
the left leg of my pants. But, I just took a wet cloth to the
stains and they came right off.”
Having one less thing to stress about at work is a huge bonus
for Aaron, especially these days.
“This is a new job for me – and one that carries
a lot of responsibility. It seems like I am always meeting new
people – and first impressions are all about appearance.
As a person who is prone to spilling things and getting stuff
all over me, having the stain resistant clothes allows me one
less thing that I have to worry about.”
“I’m always on the move – I walk really fast,
I’m always running around the city, getting on buses and
basically getting my clothes dirty. It used to be that at the
end of the day, I frequently ended up at the drycleaners for
stains and stuff. Now that happens less often – and I
like that. Its funny - I’m actually a little more careless
about things now,” Aaron notes. “It gives me a bit
more confidence about what I am wearing and where I’m
wearing them - like, sitting on the subway and things like that.
I mean, I live in New York City – it’s not exactly
the cleanest city.”
“The greatest thing about the clothes is that they allow
me to be me,” he said. “Instead of me needing to
adapt and change my habits, the clothes adapt to me.”
