Nano-Tex® Resists Spills with DuraBlock™ liquid barrier
Nano-Tex® Resists Spills with DuraBlock™ couples the latest high performance textile nanotechnology with a breathable liquid barrier, using environmentally friendly components. This innovation can be applied to a broad array of textiles and ensures protection for both textiles as well as the environment.
DURABLOCK LIQUID BARRIER
Water Entry Pressure measures the pressure at which water begins to leak through a barrier. Nano-Tex with DuraBlock has been shown to exceed 13 psi without liquid barrier failure. Water entry pressure was maintained even after cleaning, designed to simulate field use.
Water Entry Pressure 13 psi
COMFORT
Moisture Vapor Transfer Rate measures the ability of the textile fabric to breathe. Measurements are based on the amount of moisture vapor that is allowed to pass through a fabric with Nano-Tex Resists Spills and the DuraBlock liquid barrier. In the results reported below, fabric and color density created the range.
Moisture Vapor Transfer Rate (MVTR) 3,538 - 4,464 g/m2/day
FLAME TESTING
The following information summarizes the flammability testing most commonly used to evaluate the suitability of a fabric for upholstery applications: NFPA 260 and UFAC are both cigarette tests. CAL 117 applies a flame to the face of the fabric held at a 45 degree angle.

The Association for Contract Textiles (ACT) has established a set of tests to determine the minimum performance characteristics for upholstery textiles. The following information summarizes the test data across these performance characteristics for the representative fabric family samples with Nano-Tex Resists Spills with DuraBlock compared to the same fabrics without Nano-Tex Resists Spills with DuraBlock. Individual fabrics must be tested for specific results.
